Bug#1017797: libigloo: FTBFS on s390x: not big-endian safe?

Source: libigloo
Version: 0.9.1-1
Severity: serious
User: ubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com
Usertags: origin-ubuntu kinetic

Hi Unit 193,

libigloo 0.9.1 has been stuck in unstable for 170 days because it fails to
build from source on s390x with a large number of test failures:

  [...]
  # Expected: 0 (NONE: No error)
  # Got: -1 (GENERIC: Generic error)
not ok 6 digest by vectors/digest match
  FAIL: tests/digest 6 digest by vectors/digest match
  [...]

Some preliminary investigation suggests to me this is not a bug in the test
suite, but is instead an endianness problem with the implementation itself
(the hash output does not differ in byte order, but is instead completely
different).
