Bug#964359: smplayer: Please remove smplayer from the main repositories. It pops a dialog box asking for a donation every so many sessions. This is detrimental to Debian reputation. If others follow the example, Debian will turn into a shareware hell.

Package: smplayer
Version: 18.10.0~ds0-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
Every so many times Smplayer is used, an anoying dialog box asking for money pops up. For now it is only smplayer, but if others follow the example, we will essentially turn Debian into shareware. A pop up asking for money is detrimental to Debian reputation.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
