Package: va-driver-all
Version: 2.4.0-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading from Debian Rel. 9.8 to 10.3 my integrated graphics controller (Intel 945) is
supported by the kernel driver i915, but the corresponding va-driver does not exist so causing
depending modules (e.g. gnome-mpv) to crash.

Expected behaviour: the required file exists and works.

output of 'vainfo':
 libva info: VA-API version 1.4.0
 libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
 libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i915_drv_video.so
 libva info: va_openDriver() returns -1
 vaInitialize failed with error code -1 (unknown libva error),exit

That graphics controller is too old to support VA-API (as far as I am
aware). If programs crash if VA-API is not supported, that's probably a
bug there. In most cases you should be able to disable hardware
decoding, though.

Closing as there is nothing we can fix.
