I cannot reproduce this. A MKV file I have here works perfectly in VLC
3.0.4-1 in Debian buster. The file is rather large but can be downloaded
from youtube with:
youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oA2DzqoTBwM
Could you provide the sample file that fails for you?
