The characters in the rulers and the sound volume/balance area of the sound 
piece are several sizes to big and thus the GUI is very ugly. This is not so 
with the screenshot provided for audacity on Linux on the program's homepage
( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/screenshots.php ).

I tried to find out where these font sizes might be set. I deleted the
~/.audacity config file, updated to the most recent package version, but
no change.

Where can this be fixed? I do not have this problem with any other program
using wxwindows/wxwidgets, so I presume it is a genuine audacity problem.
