Bug#399466: fst: Non-standard installation of components
Package: fst
Version: 1.9-1
Severity: normal
1. I would normally expect the exec to go to /usr/bin -- it does
2. I would normally expect a .so to go to /usr/lib -- it also goes to /usr/bin!
3. There is no pkgconfig
4. Fst.h is also missing. It could go in a separate -dev package but this one
little file could simply be included here and go to /usr/include.
Documentatin must note that in order to use this, one needs AEffect.h and
aeffectx.h from Steinberg (NON-FREE!). Fst.h from older sources would look
for thse in /usr/include/vst which is probably not the best idea. This stuff
is needed to compile muse or ardour with VST capability.
