With respect, and without further information, this does not sound like a bug
in Rosegarden. I suspect Sebastian is complaining about the peculiarities of
Midi routing, which at worst can only be described as a badly designed
feature.

For help with MIDI and general system set-up it's worth asking on the AGNULA
Users list <users@lists.agnula.org> (this list deals with all Debian based
multimedia systems, not just AGNULA). If you think this is a badly designed
feature it may be worth mailing the Rosegarden users list
<rosegarden-user@lists.sourceforge.net>.

From your description of the problem, I suggest that you make the Piano send
MIDI on a different channel, I usually choose 15 or 16, Rosegarden receives
MIDI information by default on all 16 channels. If the Piano is set to
receive MIDI only on channel 1, which is probably the default - check what
channel Rosegarden is using to send the piano notes on, then you will only
hear the notes that the computer sends it and not those directly coming from
the keyboard. If you find the delay (latency) unacceptable, please write to
the above lists for help.

If the above fixes this problem, please close this bug. If you know this is
not your problem, please disregard this and answer stew's questions as
methodically as you can. This probably needs adding to the FAQ(?s).
