ftp.jp.debian.org name resolution is flaky

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to send this. If not, please
gently cluebat me.

For the last two days I have been experiencing trouble with the name
resolution of ftp.jp.debian.org. At one moment everything is nice and
dandy and the next, poof, I get:

  Could not resolve 'ftp.jp.debian.org'

Whenever that happens, the DNS info looks like this:

  olaf@xeno:~$ host ftp.jp.debian.org
ftp.jp.debian.org is an alias for cdn.debian.or.jp.
cdn.debian.or.jp is an alias for jp.cdn.araki.net.
  olaf@xeno:~$ dig ftp.jp.debian.org

After a while the hostname resolves fine again.

I don't know what's going on but it is mighty annoying. Might this have
anything to do with the plan to retire cdn.debian.org? Whether it does
or not, I'd really like to see that mirror resolve without problems.

Thanks in advance,
