First perform an initial (pull) sync using ftpsync:
http://www.debian.org/mirror/ftpmirror#how

Select one US mirror from ftp[1-6].us.debian.org, according to the one which
gives you the max speed.

Setup a cronjob so that your mirror is kept up to date until you get a proper
push setup.
