is cdn.debian.net still maintained?

Hi,

I have read in multiple places about people having issues with 
cdn.debian.net, some hitting out of date mirrors and others just having 
(unspecified) "issues".

As cdn.debian.net is used by quite some debian.org infrastructure and is 
offered by d-i as a mirror, claims of it being unmaintained are a bit 
worrisome.

Could you please shed some light on the status of cdn.d.n?
