Minutes from the porters meeting

Hi,

results from yesterdays meeting.

Andi

- review new hardware we got last year:
  + mipsel looks good;
+ mips: buildds lack FPU which makes some packages very slow to build
- stretch release criteria
+ mips: minkus.d.o as new porterbox in place
+ mips(el): new builds in place
+ possible issue: 2g address space on mips + mipsel (same to be
expected for all 32bit-arches, should be discussed+handled the
same way for all 32bit-arches with consideration of the general
future of 32bit arches in Debian after stretch)
+ add another 32bit bof during debconf (with arm)?
+ possible to push limit to 3g with changing required cpu set
    (limits amount of devices)
+ updates for the release team: "need newer hw" resolved, "porter
    box" in preperation
- kernel flavours and specific hardware support packages
  + drop (mips): linux-image-4.1.0-1-r4k-ip22,
    linux-image-4.1.0-1-r5k-ip32
  + drop (mips + mipsel): linux-image-4.1.0-1-sb1-bcm91250a
- mips64el
  + current port available: http://mips64el.sparklingly.org/debian/
+ port is ready for inclusion
+ currently syncing with ftp-master for final setup
  + gcc-5 transition doesn't interfere
+ should be added to testing ASAP (non-blocking)
- mips64: currently nobody is pushing it
- wiki + web pages
+ web pages need to be updated
+ send patches to Aurel or Andi
