I have read that a bootable image for the mips siemens rm400e in bigendian mode needs a whole special partition on the cd.

where did you read that ? And where is this CD ?

How can I burn this image?

Sinix CDs are pretty normal ISO CDs, so I'd expect it's just a ISO
you feed to wodimm. But without knowing what you found, it's hard to
guess.

Thomas.

I have read it here:

http://www.linux-mips.org/wiki/SNI_Monitor

Plus I have installed debian on a siemens intel pc and bought a Sony DVD burner. Then I have downloaded the small debian mips image ca. 180mb and burned it at this computer on a cd.

I tried to boot the cd on one of my rm 400 servers, but the server refused to accept the cd.
