2008-03-01 broken too

moreover, I cannot install lenny, even with 2008-02-18 image: the
machine hang at about 44% when configuring the base system. A did many
runs and got it hanging when configuring sed (at 42%),
libtext-wrapi18n-perl (at 44%), makedev (at 45%, twice), or util-linux
(at 47%).

I noticed that d-i unpack all packages up to 40%, then start configuring
them.

I think the problem is libc6_2.7-6, as explained in #463808, since it
does not hangs always at the same point, but it always hangs when
starting configuring packages (so, when running all sort of programs
that use libc6.

Is there any way to test this new d-i for installing etch instead of
lenny?

Bye,
Giuseppe
