Re: Qube2 question: Largest drive size supported ?

Nice thread,

I'm running a raq2 with which I recently failed to boot from a seagate drive (80 GB, can't remember which model at the moment). I used a WDC WD800BB-75CAA0 instead which worked fine.

Thing was, I tried every jumper setting on the seagate but only cable select would let it be seen by the installer after which it became hdb (the cable has only two connectors, one at each end). Thing is I can't boot from hdb (right?).

May I conclude that not all drives are usable in a Raq2 (or Cube2)? Or did I miss something (besides that if I would have a ide cable with 3 connector i possibly would be able to connect the drive and let it be seen as hda, which should be bootable...

hddtemp says it's 46°C, same temperature as the hd in my iBook.

I can stream audio and video (.avi) from the Qube2 through a samba mount
to my Xbox without problems.
