and if so does it work and what card did you use ?

I have a Qube 2700, and I just bought a cheap no-name (well, local vendor name) USB2 card, which works fine. I'm adding network interfaces with it, primarily, to use the Qube as a router.

lspci says :-

0000:00:09.2 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82xxxxx UHCI USB 1.1 Controller (rev 02)
0000:00:0a.0 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB (rev 41)
0000:00:0a.1 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB (rev 41)
0000:00:0a.2 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB 2.0 (rev 02)

It looks odd, I don't know why it lists NEC *and* VIA, but it works ok. lsusb shows my only current connection as Bus 001 Device 003: ID 07a6:8511 ADMtek, Inc. ADM8511 Pegasus II Ethernet.

Hope that reassures you ...
