libgringotts: FTBFS on mips with gcc 4.0 and -fmudflap

Hi,

I have a build error on the libgringotts package (all other architectures
build fine, only mips/mipsel is borked). 
I use gcc 4.0 and mudflap support, ie. I run configure with these args:
CC="cc" CXX="g++" \
  CFLAGS="-g -Wall -O2 -fmudflap" \
  CXXFLAGS="-g -Wall -O2" \
  LDFLAGS="-lmudflap" \
  /build/buildd/libgringotts-1.2.1/./configure  \
  --build=mips-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr \
  --includedir="\${prefix}/include" \
  --mandir="\${prefix}/share/man" \
  --infodir="\${prefix}/share/info" \
  --sysconfdir=/etc \
  --localstatedir=/var \
  --libexecdir="\${prefix}/lib/libgringotts" \
  --srcdir=. --disable-maintainer-mode

And the error:
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.
make: *** [config.status] Error 77

Can anybody with (root) access to a mips machine give me the config.log
of the above error? Or better yet, is there a mips machine where I can
run test builds of the libgringotts package?
