Dear Janko,

My qube2 totally locks up on any network activity (as soon as i try to download something from it, using either vsftpd, proftpd, samba, wuftpd,...).

Hope anyone knows the source of this problem

I read somewhere that it had to do with using the serial port and the
network at the same time. I do not have a null modem cable and as of yet
haven't ever had any trouble. My suggestion would be to disconnect the
serial port and try all of your operations logged in via the ethernet
and see if it goes away.

peace,
core

I've never used the serial only for installing (ssh is way more handy and the cable isn't very long).
But I'm now trying if the problem would be solved by a newer kernel (2.6.8).

Thanks for the request though, and I'll post my progress or failure (I would go for the last )

Cheers

Janko
