cannot use SGI O2 as NFS server

Hi,
I still use the kernel from thiemo since I never manage to recompile a working kernel, and I am still working on the same SGI O2. The machine is an up to date Debian Sarge.

Now I have a problem with NFS, SGI as nfs client works well, while I cannot share any directory from the SGI.

When I start the nsf-kernel-server I see this error:
Dec 9 08:14:14 sgi nfsd[1921]: nfssvc: No such device

Is this related to the option used for compiling the kernel? Any idea on what to do?

Thanks,
Giuseppe
