Trouble with Indy install

  I recently tried to install Debian woody on my Indy R5000. Network boot
and base install seemed to be fine, but after I chose packages to install 
dpkg failed to install libperl. It said:

	!!!E: Subprocess /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1).
	Error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libperl5.6-5.6.1-8.2_mips.deb (--unpack)
	Please fix error and run [I]nstall again.

Then it boots, but even ls doesn't work. Seems that the problem is with 
dpkg itself, because running it on any *.deb file (at least in 
/var/cache/apt/archives/) gives the same message.

				Help me.
