Problems with Indy2 install

I'm trying to install debian (woody) on an indy 2.

I can get through all the install screens, and 'make the system bootable',
but it won't boot.

Every way I try, I get an 'invalid volume header' error message.

I did find out that the install program does not like 8 gig drives, but
other than that, I'm totally lost.

What am I doing wrong?
