I've got the same problem.

You can use dillo (simple and ugly browser).

You can also recompile all KDE and use Konqueror (I did not try this, I
have no room for KDE). Or (I use this way) recompile only qt-x11 lib with
gcc-3.0 (only 12 hour of compilation on my Indy ;->) and compile embedded 
konqueror. Then you have fine HTML browser with ugly interface (but this 
is better than nothing). I can put debianized sources to my ftp if you want.
