Debian on Indy

Hi,

so far I managed to write tftpboot.img with dvhtool to the SCSI disk and
now I can boot into Debian/Woody on the Indy but I still have trouble
with the network:

Both, the 10base-10 and the AUI (with a AUI->10baseT transceiver) send
but don't read any packets.

The dhcp server runs kernel 2.2.20-ow1 and I tested both:
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_no_pmtu_disc and
echo "2048 32767" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_local_port_range

but the Indy doesn't read any packet. Syslog on the dhcp server says:

May 31 16:40:07 dream dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPDISCOVER from 08:00:69:09:aa:16
  via eth1
May 31 16:40:07 dream dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.10.50 to
  08:00:69:09:aa:16 via eth1

multiple times but the Indy won't get an IP address. Even if I set the
correct IP address manually I can't ping another box in the network,
however ping to Indy's IP itself works. It looks like the nic is broken
:-(

Any other idea what could be wrong?

TIA Martin
