hmm, it seems that the partition table is indeed incorrect.
I'm probably missing some essential knowledge about partitioning (on an Indy).
My /dev/sda partition table looks like this:

/dev/sda1 boot 	Linux native
/dev/sda2 swap 	Linux swap
/dev/sda9 	SGI volhdr
/dev/sda11	SGI volume

I don't have any partitions like those last two on /dev/sdb, so I'm guessing that's the problem.
However, I can't find any way to create such partition types :(
Can anyone tell me how to set those up?
