Linux/MIPS works on the Indy, but without X. A debian port for big
endian MIPS machines (such as the Indy) has been started, but it is
far from being really usable.

There is "RoughCuts", an unofficial RedHat 5.1 port for big endian MIPS,
which should run on the Indy. It could be found on ftp.linux.sgi.com,
probably it has now been moved to oss.sgi.com.
