If your machine is net.connected it looks good for auto-compiling. However
currently the debian-mips port is somewhat stalled since about no other
maintainer owns a MIPS machine.
Do you have already running Debian on the box? If not this needs to
be addressed first. The first step would be to compile a kernel and
create a base tarball so people can install an initial set of packages.
Then compilers and tools are needed etc. I guess you already know that.
