Even if an upload to mentors is good (as in «all checks passed and each of the
indicators is green») .and. you found a sponsor, your package as to pass these
five days in this purgatory.\*  Only after passing this gate successfully, your
package can enter branch testing.  Come back at the end of the week (you
equally may subscribe to the package tracker, too.).

Anecdotally, I felt very similar for my first upload of
([ruby-mdl]/markdownlint).  Though it probably is somewhat easier (if it
checks pass on one architecture, it likely equally passes well on others),
because it does not rely on a compiled language.  It is going to be the same
when you update your package (as it currently is on markdownlint, too).

In case you opt-in for a [backport] to the current stable (at present trixie),
you actually have to wait until your upload to `testing` arrived in the
branch, before the clocks are reset for a next (then bpo) upload.
