The normal way to request an RFS is to fill out the RFS application for each package after uploading them to mentors.d.o. I don't think it's wrong to personally write to a DD asking them to sponsor a package. I've done this myself on occasion. However, writing to lists requesting to sponsor packages without even providing a summary isn't a good idea.Hello
