Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "xfce4-docklike-plugin":

 * Package name: xfce4-docklike-plugin
   Version: 0.4.2-4
   Upstream contact: Nicolas Szabo <nszabo@vivaldi.net>
 * URL: https://docs.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4-docklike-plugin/start
 * License: GPL-2+
 * Vcs: https://salsa.debian.org/krekhov/xfce4-docklike-plugin
   Section: xfce

The source builds the following binary packages:

  xfce4-docklike-plugin - Modern, minimalist taskbar for Xfce

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/xfce4-docklike-plugin/

Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/x/xfce4-docklike-plugin/xfce4-docklike-plugin_0.4.2-4.dsc

Changes for the initial release:

 xfce4-docklike-plugin (0.4.2-4) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Update Standards-Version to 4.7.0

Comment:
I know that a new version of xfce4-docklike-plugin (0.4.3) is available upstream.
I would love to add it to my package, BUT building version 0.4.3 requires the libxfce4windowing package in Build-Depends,
which is not available in Debian. Therefore, I decided to stick with version 0.4.2 and created a ticket:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1092159 (maybe I'll take over this ticket)

Regards,

Hi Kirill,

uploaded with a small change to d/copyright, as the upstream
developers don't grant permission for any other version of the GPL:

$ diff -r mentors/xfce4-docklike-plugin-0.4.3/ result/xfce4-docklike-plugin-0.4.3/
diff -r mentors/xfce4-docklike-plugin-0.4.3/debian/copyright result/xfce4-docklike-plugin-0.4.3/debian/copyright

Please import the above into the repo on salsa and tag.

The easiest way to import new upstream versions is to simply let
git-buildpackage do all the work: 'gbp import-orig --uscan' from the
basedir of the packaging git repo downloads the latest release and
updates the main and upstream branches all in one go.
