I have done as you suggested,
I added the project on Salsa: https://salsa.debian.org/gcarmix/hexwalk
I also fixed some minor issues that you pointed out and made a new upload to mentors,
I haven't added a man because it is a GUI app and at the moment I don't know how to write a man for it (anyway on github I have a wiki that should do)
