The season for tilde has been marked for removal not by itself but due
to several dependencies[0], there is one that still needs to be
fixed[1].

I am not sure it is appropriate to just remove a package that has >160
popcon[2]  and upstream released the new version[3] two years ago.

hmm, I understand. But I do not have energy to adopt these packages at
this time. I think these packages will be shipped into QA at last.
Doing this NMU from
previous NMUing for libt3window packages as you said because
libt3window depends on this package.

Thanks, I will contact the MIA team to orphan these packages if the
maintianers continue to be inactive for  a long time.
