Haha, upgrading a trixie chroot shows:

Preparing to unpack .../usr-is-merged_37_all.deb ...
W: /etc/unsupported-skip-usrmerge-conversion exists.
Unpacking usr-is-merged (37) over (35) ...


Might have been created via debootstrap's "--variant=buildd" option
in the past …
