I also have fixed the issues pointed out by Boyuan Yang <byang@debian.org>:
- Full OpenSSL license text in debian/copyright
- Dropped debian/README.source
- Dropped "quilt" from debian/control Build-Depends field
- Deleted the dep on debhelper as a dep on debhelper-compat is sufficient
- Now preferring the OpenSSL flavor of libcurl4 dev
