Backport version number problem.

Dear list,

I'm about to backport opencpn from Sid to backports-sloppy, running into versioning problems.

The Sid version is 5.6.2+dfsg-1. The sloppy version should then be something like 5.6.2+dfsg-1~bpo10.1.

However, it has been necessary to repack the backport. This is a about a dependency which is available in Bullseye+, but not in Buster. OTOH, the library is bundled in the upstream source, so solution becomes to repack the sources with the bundled library present.

The backport version then becomes something like 5.6.2+dfsg2-1~bpo10.1. But this sorts after the Sid version 5.6.2+dfsg-1, right? Making it a Bad Backport Version.

Has anyone ideas how to handle this?

Cheers!
