I may also exclude this folder in the repacking as we do not generate
the documentation. Not sure this is a good solution as we may want to
also deliver documentation in the future.

I guees, remoing the .lfsconfig file in the root would be enough to get rid of the error. It is not mandated to run salsa CI, so I would sponsor f3d without CI being run. You can still repack later if you like (+dfsg2).
