These two versions are considered equal by dpkg:
$ dpkg --compare-versions "1.5.01-1" eq "1.5.1-1" ; echo $?
0
$ dpkg --compare-versions "1.5.01-1" lt "1.5.1-1" ; echo $?
1
$ dpkg --compare-versions "1.5.01-1" gt "1.5.1-1" ; echo $?

I'm not sure if dak would accept the change but there also doesn't
appear to be any reason to change the version that I can see, since
1.5.2-1 is greater than 1.5.01-1 too.
$ dpkg --compare-versions "1.5.01-1" lt "1.5.2-1" ; echo $?
