For myself, I can't say I'm terribly concerned about it, but I understand that others may be. If the consensus is that opting out should be the default, I don't see any particular issue with having the package set the opt-out environment variable on installation, effectively converting it to opt-in on Debian. (This, admittedly, would not help in the case of those building it from the source package rather than installing the binary package(s).) Regards, Alistair
