Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "mp3info"

 * Package name    : mp3info
   Version         : 0.8.5a-2
   Upstream Author : Ricardo Cerqueira <rmc@rccn.net> (original),
		     Cedric Tefft <cedric@earthling.net> (current)
 * URL             : http://www.ibiblio.org/mp3info/
 * License         : GPL-2+
 * Vcs             : https://salsa.debian.org/debian/mp3info
   Section         : sound

It builds those binary packages:

  mp3info - An MP3 technical info viewer and ID3 1.x tag editor
  mp3info-gtk - MP3 info viewer and ID3 1.x tag editor -- GTK+ version

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/mp3info

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/m/mp3info/mp3info_0.8.5a-2.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

   * QA upload.
   * Orphan the package. (See: #840050)
   * Update Standards-Version to 4.5.0.
     - Update Priority to optional.
   * Update compate level to 12.
     - Add dependency on ${misc:Depends}.
   * Add dependency on libncurses6.
     - From changelog of version 0.8.5a-1+b3.
   * Mark source format as 3.0.
     - Import diff in patch format.
   * Simplify d/rules.
   * Point Vcs to salsa.

Note:
1) dh_movefiles is used in d/rules. dh_install is the better way to do
it. And I will look into that in the next update.
2) lintian warns about source containing prebuilt windows binary, if I
remove that and repack the source, will it be considered as a new upload
and will go via the FTP new queue?

Looks good, uploaded.

However, a brief look at the functionality makes me think that perhaps
RM would be a good idea? There's many many other mp3 tag editors, stuff
like bit rate is so easy to get that even 'file' knows it, and this
program is ancient:
* no support for id3v2
* no support for Unicode

Uh...? You bump just the upstream version, adding a suffix like +dfsg or
something, like on a regular new upstream release.

Meow!
