Re: Bug#943675: RFS: ogre-1.12/1.12.2+dfsg0-1 -- 3D Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine (development files)

Hi everybody,

I send in this mail searching for feedback and mentoring last Sunday and
got no feedback so far. Just thought I might narrow down the things I'm
unsure about and get some first feedback before anybody needs to do a
full review.

This package is basically a upstream upgrade to ogre-1.09 which already
exists as a Debian package for a couple of years. The original
maintainer replied he is currently too busy to review/continue work on
it. Should I put my name and mail as maintainer then?

It currently belongs to debian-games but we would actually use it in a
debian-science (robotics/ROS) context. Should I get in contact with
either of them? Don't want to cross-post ...

How do I get this onto salsa so I can use git and MRs?

Thanks a lot

Simon

Package: sponsorship-requests

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "ogre-1.12"

* Package name : ogre-1.12
Version : 1.12.2+dfsg0-1
Upstream Author : [fill in name and email of upstream]
* URL : https://ogre3d.org/
* License : MIT
* Vcs : https://salsa.debian.org/games-team/ogre-1.12
Section : libs

It builds those binary packages:

libogre-1.12-dev - 3D Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine
(development files)
libogre-1.12 - 3D Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine (libraries)
ogre-1.12-doc - 3D Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine
(documentation)
ogre-1.12-tools - 3D Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine (tools)

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:

https://mentors.debian.net/package/ogre-1.12

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/o/ogre-1.12/ogre-1.12_1.12.2+dfsg0-1.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

* New upstream version
* removed patches included upstream
* Bump Standards-Version to 4.4.1 (no changes needed)
* blender2ogre is now a separate script, removed it from here

Regards,

Simon Schmeißer
