Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Hi Maximiliano, I've CCed you because you're my contact on the pkg-kde
team and because I wanted to demonstrate basic packaging skills before
submitting my application for team membership.

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "plasma-gmailfeed" and have
tested that it works well. If you don't want to read the description
or see my screenshot at the ITP bug it suffices to say that this
applet is a minimal and modern Gmail-specific xbiff.

Package name : plasma-gmailfeed
Version : 1.1-1
Upstream Author : Anthony Vital <anthony.vital@gmail.com>
URL : https://github.com/anthon38/gmailfeed
License : GPL-2+
Section : kde

Here are two things I'm not sure about:

1) The package name. Upstream name is gmailfeed. I guessed that it
should be changed to plasma-gmailfeed, but would
plasma-applet-gmailfeed be better? Perhaps plasma-gmailfeed-applet?

2) Redundant dependencies. Is there any overlap and can any of these
be removed? Specifically I'm thinking of the Build-Deps.

It builds this binary package:

plasma-gmailfeed - plasmoid that shows your Gmail feed with notifications

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/plasma-gmailfeed

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/plasma-gmailfeed/plasma-gmailfeed_1.1-1.dsc

I plan to move the package to pkg-kde once I join the team, but for
now please use the following repo:

  git clone git@github.com:sten0/plasma-gmailfeed.git

plasma-gmailfeed (1.1-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Initial release (Closes: #862933)
