Why does the report title say "NMU"?

There are three new patches in debian/patches that are not mentioned in
debian/patches/series.

How are those two upstream bugs fixed?

I haven't looked at the package itself, but wtf is happening in prerm? And
you shouldn't call python3 -m compileall in postinst.
