Sorry, please update this line to

tar --exclude=.git --exclude='*.exe' --exclude='*.jar' -czvf
$(CURDIR)/$(DEB_SOURCE)_$(DEB_UPSTREAM_VERSION).orig.tar.gz `ls | head
-n 1`; \

because you use .tar.gz
