There's a lot of easy to fix issues with the package left, even lintian
reports a few:
W: dhelp source: package-uses-deprecated-debhelper-compat-version 5
W: dhelp source: ancient-standards-version 3.9.3 (current is 3.9.8)
W: dhelp: apache2-reverse-dependency-uses-obsolete-directory etc/apache2/conf.d/dhelp.conf
W: dhelp: spelling-error-in-readme-debian the the (duplicate word) the
N: 2 tags overridden (2 info)
On the other hand, your upload fixes a RC bug, thus even though it's not
targetted at stretch (package was kicked out of testing), I've uploaded
as-is. We can do spring cleaning in a separate upload later.
