Bug#818687: RFS: btrfs-progs/4.4.1-1.1 [NMU]

Hi Nicholas,

oops, I think there has been a misunderstanding here.

IIRC I asked to *look* at piuparts, not to fix it.
I mean, quoting piuparts:
http://debomatic-amd64.debian.net/distribution#unstable/btrfs-progs/4.4.1-1.1/piuparts

"/var/lib/dpkg/info/btrfs-progs.postinst: 7: hash: update-initramfs: not found"

maybe the package isn't installed?

I'm not sure if you can add a runtime-dependency on a virtual initramfs implementation, or
do something similar.

I don't think you can easily fix this issue, my opinion is that "not found" in this context
means, "in a clean pbuilder environment there is no such command"

since it is unfeasible that the end user won't have it, I would have expected an answer like
"who cares about piuparts? it doesn't mean the end user will trigger such issue"

that was the expected answer
(please note: I did not dig into this issue, my above statement might be completely wrong, and
the reason for the failure another one, I'm just reporting something regarding my interpretation
of the failure, without trying to reproduce it and running piuparts by myself)

you did a *great* job, no need to overcomplicate your setup just because of
my nitpicks :)

BTW installing a local DebOMatic instance is trivial (just add an user and install a package
with some simply changes here and there)

I can help in this if you want to give it a try
(you will have: free sbuild container creations, builds, blhc, piuparts, adeguate run, a good
and trivial interface, rebuilds, binNMU, and many more features)

(please also address the good Christian suggestion, it seems the final way to handle this,
and this is something we can have in this NMU, because it looks really sane than the current approach).

thanks to you and Christian for the great help!

Gianfranco
