I'm struggling to find much documentation on the wiki/elsewhere about the mechanics of proposing an update to stable. So far as I can tell, this is what I need to do -- I would appreciate it if you could fill in any missing steps: 1. File a bug against release.debian.org saying what changes I want to backport and why [hope this is right because I'm going to do it right now]. 2. If that bug receives a positive response, acquire the version of mozilla-devscripts currently in stable with `apt-get source` 3. dch -v 0.39+deb8u1. 4. Backport the fixes (with none of the other changes since 0.39). 5. Build and test the package in a stable chroot. 6. dch --release --distribution=stable 7. RFS/upload to ftp-master. -- Sean Whitton
