Hello Nico!
Those packages are shared libraries, and the number represents the
SOVERSION. Whenever the ABI of the shared library changes, the new
version should be in a binary package that has a different SOVERSION so
that new versions can be installed without immediately breaking binaries
that depend on the old version.
