Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear Mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "eclipse-titan":

Package name : eclipse-titan
Version : 5.3-1
Upstream Author : Eclipse Foundation
URL : www.eclipse.org
License : Eclipse Public License - v 1.0
Section : utils

It builds this binary package:

eclipse-titan

TTCN-3 is a standardized, modular language specifically designed for testing.
Eclipse Titan offers a free and open source (FOSS) compiler both for TTCN-3 and
for ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation One).

You can download the package with wget using this command:

wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/qkzdjefpp2ura11/eclipse-titan_5.3.tar.gz

More information about eclipse-titan can be obtained from
https://github.com/eclipse/titan.core

This is the first upload so there isn’t any changelog.

Best Regards,
Gergely Pilisi

Let me go a bit over what Gianfranco said, in a more structured and
in-depth manner:

* please use mentors.debian.net when requestion sponsorship
* please file a ITP bug when working on a NEW package
* run lintian on that .changes file, you'll notice *a lot* of issues,
you should be able to fix just about all of them (maybe don't waste
  time on binary-without-manpage and no-upstream-changelog)
+ lintian will tell you a huge subset of what a sponsor would be going
to ask you here anyway, most importantly:
    - no hardcoding of dep in that way
    - very very old standards-version
    - no build-dep on dh
    - source-contains-git-control-dir — uh? how did you build that
      source package?
    - use dh-autoreconf
    - build-depends-on-build-essential
    - somewhere you got troubles at conveying build flags from the
      environment

I'm going to close this bug, since in 2 months it received no replies
from the sponsoree. I invite you to open a new bug, once you're done
with the above requests.

Thanks!
