Changing maintainer for package in mentors

Hello,

This is about the package telegram-purple [1]

Initially, Hugues Morrisset was entered as Maintainer and Ben Wiederhake 
(me) as Uploader in debian/rules. However, Hugues has gone inactive and 
agreed that I take the lead in debianizing telegram-purple. But now 
mentors won't let me do anything, because I'm not the maintainer in the 
eyes of the system.

I updated debian/control and re-uploaded to mentors, but it still 
doesn't appear on my page [2] but only his' [3].

How can I change that?
If I can't, whom do I need to ask?

PS: This mail describes a problem in version 1.2.2~bw2-2 (current), and 
originated in 1.2.2~bw2-1 (obsolete).
