I have been working on this package for a year now and I am currently
the only one who cares about it.

I have already lost count how many times you gave me the choice between
sink or swim and it is definitely not very pleasant to learn from you
that you are not interested in my opinion.

Since you are a member of the Debian Games Team, why didn't you simply
ask all your questions on our list or on IRC and closed the sponsorship
bugs? Besides there was always the opportunity to discuss everything in
detail, at least in one other language to avoid any misunderstandings.
This is not about Debian's policy or your right to make improvement
proposals. You simply don't listen to the one who knows this game best
without having any experience with games of this caliber.

I presume the main issue here is that you never followed my advice to
have a look at the ufoai source package and to start with the game's
core. Did you ever compile the sources and play the game? From the flow
of our conversation, I can only deduce: No.

You constantly ignored my objections and never understood the necessity
to create Debian compliant source tarballs out of upstream's Git
repository and most importantly, how this is actually achieved in a
Policy compliant way. Your question about the file removals could have
been easily answered by looking at the get-orig-source target. Instead
you jumped to a conclusion without considering the package maintainers
ideas.

The decision is not about reality or illusion. More about: Is mutual
respect important? I think it is, so it's high time to quit here.

Regards,

Markus
