Bug#746257: RFS: conman/0.2.7-1 [ITP]
tags 746257 moreinfo
thanks
Hi Yao-Po,
I will try help you with conman. Please:
1. d/control:
- In Build-Depends, change debhelper from 9.0.0 to 9.
- Please, create a VCS to control your debian/ versions. You can
use github or other. So, add the Vcs-Browser and Vcs-{Git|Svn|Cvs} to
d/control.
- Put 'Suggests' after 'Package' field.
2. d/copyright:
- The file auxdir/install-sh is under MIT/X license.
- I suggest you to put the GPL-3+ one time only in the
d/copyright file. You can see an example here[1].

3. d/rules: remove these useless lines:
# -*- makefile -*-
# Uncomment this to turn on verbose mode.
4. You have a LIntian message:
I: conman source: unused-file-paragraph-in-dep5-copyright paragraph at line 5
5. Please, add to your d/rules:
export DEB_LDFLAGS_MAINT_APPEND = -Wl,--as-needed
to fix this issue:
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: package could avoid a useless dependency if
debian/conman/usr/bin/conman debian/conman/usr/sbin/conmand were not
linked against libnsl.so.1 (they use none of the library's symbols)
See more details here[2].

Thanks for your work.
Cheers,
Eriberto
