This comes as a bit of a surprise, and it may be unfortunate. My idea was that, even if no sponsor would be found, at least mentors.debian.net would reflect the latest state of development of the package, possibly as a starting point for further work. By removing the package, you have made my work unavailable for the world, and you have also deleted any comments that were posted by prospective sponsors. On the other hand, it is true that I have essentially given up on attempts to get my package into the distribution. I can understand that you want to focus mentors.debian.net on work which is actively developed, and not let it become a dumping ground for half-finished stuff. Fair enough. I will simply move the packaging files back to my personal website. Two points which I think you should consider: * A little warning ahead of time would be nice before you delete stuff. I don't see your 20-weeks rule in the Q&A, for example. * If I follow the URL to my (now deleted) package page, I would expect an error message saying that the packgage does not currently exist. Instead, the server silently redirects me to the list of packages. That is not helpful. If something goes completely wrong inside a computer, it is important to tell the user about it. There is this misguided notion that users dislike error messages, therefore software should never report errors. Please don't believe that. Kind regards, Joris.
